I have enjoyed the entire series so far. This one had less Cyrus and more Thomas, which in one way is wonderful to see how Thomas is growing into his own but less Cyrus isn't something i want. What's most entertaining to me is the interaction between these extremely different characters.
I enjoy that Thomas is learning a great deal from Cyrus but also how he makes Cyrus actually see and accept things from Thomas's point of view.
Everyone who enjoys this series, will continue to due so, greatly.

I am disappointed that the next book in the series is not ready. I really hope it comes out soon. Great series! Keep it going.

I’ve listen to the B & L books in order, just finishing this one. A couple of issues in this listen caused a bit of disappointment.

First, the continuity of the stories’ progression, fine through the previous books was broken a bit. I don’t know why the author and editors didn’t realize that Barker’s brother was mentioned once previously. I don’t recall in which book but I definitely remember knowing about him.

Second, Mr. Ferguson’s Russian accent is pretty bad. No, really bad. It sounds more like his Chinese accent than anything else.

Considering this are my first real complaints to this point I’m still very happy with this series.

The author ties up some loose ends add some potential new characters for an interesting story. The Llewellyn character continues to irritate me. The narration of the story is good.

Fun, smart, emotional. Another great read, or listen as it were. And the narrator was great as usual.

The story is intricate and riveting and I finished it in 2 days. I have one problem with the narrator - his narration is excellent most of the time but he cannot do Eastern European accents. I hope he’ll get better in the remaining books.

Best book in the series since Some Danger Involved

I love this series and this book was fabulous. The narration was once again superb, each "voice" perfect and exacting for each character.
Oh, the plot lines and the characters! I kept saying, "OMG, OMG, OMG" throughout the book because couldn't believe what was happening. The book also ends on a major cliffhanger.
There's one big problem with this series--Tom needs to stop thinking with his OTHER head. Gosh, he acts like a 10 year old girl at a boyband concert. After he finds his lady love's assassin kit, he still gets all dreamy about her "slender " neck and dainty feet...
C'MON MAN! This girl was hired to kill you. Thomas, grow up and think with the brain between your ears, not the one between your legs.

What a whirlwind! A 5 star book!

Llewellyn takes center stage in this one with all his young man thoughts on display.

A much more enjoyable story than the previous one

Right from the start, I noticed Thomas had grown up. Making important observations, adding his two cents to the conversations, making decisions. After all, he's 22 now, and not an apprentice anymore. So now that your feet are more than wet, Thomas, jump right in and take the spotlight! I also liked that Barker was human, had his failings, showed he could hurt. A different theme, but still the guys I have grown to love. And YAY Thomas isn't letting his heart fool him, well, not as much.
