I enjoyed the ride, it took me a bit to grasp who was who early on. So if you listen or read make sure you have it down. Nice story overall.

Great twist on Vampires

The narrator and the narration. He reads well but he sounds like a idiot doing what he thinks are what African Americans sound like. When you read in what you think African Americans sound like you sound like a racist asshole who needs a good ass kicking. The narrator was absolutely horrible! I was five hours in before I realized Monica was a child but he read her like a demented grandmother and the African Americans all sounded like slaves.

PLEASE PLEASE get someone that knows how to pronounce the words. As someone from LA it will tick you off to hear all of the bad pronunciations.

Great ride, story, narration and characters. Worth the credit!

Not your regular zombie book

The title says a lot, but otherwise it is a very fun story. only after getting
past early sound quality concerns and then the 2nd worst "black hood" speak ive heard written, I enjoyed the books.

(the race comment is simply because the entire book comes off as inauthentic. the "black hood" diologue is generic and stereotypical. these authors dont even seem to know white folks from the hood. if they did, it wouldn't sound like it does.

White men probably shouldn't write black protagonists. Their ignorance shows.
