Wouldn't it be cool to suddenly have the battle skills of a seasoned warrior? What if the battles felt real but there was no physical risk to you? As soon as they fall under the good doctor's spell everything goes wrong. Suddenly the adventure is more real than they could have ever imagined. They find themselves in a hostile world they can't escape.

A group of friends set out for an adventure that then turns real and they find themselves entangled in a battle between good and evil. I liked the interesting and unusual set-up of the story and it is moving forward at a nice pace with a decent amount of character development as well. It is then a classic adventure with your typical set of fantasy personalities, wizards, fairies, trolls etc that is well described and holds the interest throughout. I like that there is both a romantic story line as well as an overall quest. Overall this is well worth spending an afternoon listening to if you just want to relax and be taken away to a different realm

This book was filled with adventure and a little bit of romance. The premise for the story is really unique and I enjoyed the characters learning and growing as they adventure together. This book ends in a cliffhanger. This narrator is not my favorite and I've listened to several of her books and felt the same way about the others. Honestly, if I knew it was going to be this narrator. I would have skipped this series. I've listened to audiobooks with AI narrators and although, I don't want to support AI, those narrations were better than this one.

Forbidden Quests by Alaina Stanford is an excellent paranormal fantasy. Kay Webster did a wonderful job with the narration. Forbidden Quest is the first book in the series Hypnotic Journey, it’s the beginning of an adventure that will take you to one of the a fantastic adventure. The story is entertaining, interesting, engaging, and more. In this story what four friends thought was a great video game turned into something they didn’t expect. Now they are fighting for their lives and trying to escape the game. Is it really a game or is it real? This series has a lot of cliffhangers so you need to start here. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend
