Overall, storyline is great. Therese Plummer did a an amazing job narrating.
I didn’t care for the main character. She was such a jerk.
And way Too much yelling for me in the first half of the book, I skipped 2 or three chapters because of it.

I just finished the Virgin River series (much to my chagrin) and was looking for another Carr book. Stumbled onto this one and loved every minute of it. I related best to Jeri. Her story hit a few notes with me. Very cute story.

Listen here - maybe an UNLIKELY series of events - but this is a work of fiction! Despite that I really LOVED the characters, the deep bonds of friendship especially through the hard times! I saw myself in these characters and my friendship and marriages in these characters.

This was a quick read for me - and I enjoyed the journey through this little time period in their lives. I thought it was well written and well paced! The characters had dimension - definitely unique situations - but a string of caring, compassion and friendship tied the story together and with a bow! Some of it was predictable but sometimes I like a nice simple story!

This was a fun read. Well thought-out plot. Well-written. I enjoyed the flow of the story. A little preachy in some parts. I’m not into romance fiction, but this was a cut above.

Takes a moment to understand the characters but once you do this is a great book, easy read, didn't want to put the book down. Had my attention until the list page. Love the person reading the book.

This is a great story of how making friends can change a life. I really liked how B.J. stood up for herself and was really willing to make changes in her life so her family could stay safe. I felt for Gerri at first when she found out about her husband. But toward the end of the story I really wanted her just to sit her self righteous butt down and give life a rest. She became way to whiney and she acted like she was the only person hurt. It was good to see Andy get her great guy. Sonja's story really showed that sometimes you really do have to look at the past in order to move forward.

One note that the author should know, San Francisco is in San Francisco County and not San Mateo County. I assume this was just a slip.

Therese Plummer and Robyn Carr are a formidable pair when I listen to a novel. Robyn has a way of creating richly dynamic characters, and Therese takes things to another level with her interpretations. I was hooked on the Virgin River series one Summer. Fortunately, ‘Four Friends’ came along to entertain me as the Northeast heads into less daylight! I look forward to another chance to go wherever Robyn and Therese are ready to take me as a reader!
