Acerca de esta escucha

Fran Singer is a regular eighth grader relishing her role in the school play, enjoying hanging out with her best friend, and thinking of ways to steer clear of her annoying little brother...when suddenly, in a matter of seconds, everything changes.

An unintentional tragic accident with major consequences shoots her out of her ordinary world into one racked with guilt, shame, and complete alienation. Starting over after all that is not easy...but is it possible? Will her life be better, the second time around?

I wanted to listen to this because of the cool cover. I was intrigued by the girl and enticed by the narration sample. Great narration! Beautiful story with touches of both good and bad parenting, zen, acting, a lot of friends. Very well done!

Really cool

This is a young adult book. But I found it very interesting.

It brought back a few awkward memories of friendships and teenage years that I would rather have forgotten because it was so convincing in portraying a teenager’s point of view.

Both the writing and the narration were on point. And the narration added to the story.

The story took some sometimes tragic, yet interesting turns. But I feel a young adult reader would find it very interesting and learn a lot from living vicariously through Fran and some of her missteps throughout this book. And also the courage and conviction she displayed in trying to course correct.

I highly recommend.
