I like Hugh Fraser's narration of many of Agatha Christie's Poirot stories. And she taught every subsequent author how to write a good mystery.

It's revealing when an author inserts themselves in their own fiction.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with Agatha Christie. I fell in love with her books when I was 12 and continue to enjoy her books. I loved thrillers that are based on her writing style. She was the OG of locked in thrillers and whodunits! Seemed fitting to work this one into my spooky tbr this year and I'm glad I did. I think anyone who enjoys reading would enjoy this one! The narrator was top tier!!!

This novel was published on the month and year of my birthday and I'm soon to be 55. I love Halloween and hadn't read this in a long time, so I thought it was the perfect Christie to listen to before Halloween. Turns out it has quite a lot of synchronicity for me now that it didn't previously as I'd forgotten some of it.

Hugh Fraser is a delightful narrator! Perfect! I really enjoy Ariadne being Agatha and dealing with her creation as that character. Poirot is my favorite.

A Favorite Agatha Christie novel!

Can you imagine being murdered while bobbing for apples? I never understood that game. Now, I’ll never think of it as a game again!

Hugh Frazier did another amazing narration. This mystery held my interest. However, it wasn’t one of my favorites. My experience over the last 50, or so years, is that all Christie novels are worth reading. But some of them shine brighter than others.

I enjoyed this one and give it 3.75 stars.
