The different storylines and characters, and their development, was enjoyable. The AI narration...please spend a few bucks and use a human. Contexts, proper tenses, annoying inconsistencies, and very monotonous, robotic like cadence lowered the enjoyment. Some minor examples off the top of my head that stand out to someone knowing the proper terminology: 9mm should be "9 millimeter", not "9 millimeterS"; .357 should be "three fifty seven", not "point three five seven". Proper tense / context: in the intended context read should be pronounced "red" (past tense) not "reed" (present tense). One book pronounced a characters name 3 different ways, many times within the same paragraph, making me wonder if a new character was being introduced, and I had to play it back again and make sure. The AI was very limited on emotion and influction, making some parts very lackluster. Sentences where sarcasm were present sounded like Borat was narrating (for reference when Borat is trying to learn "not". There is a pause between the statement and then saying "not".) The AI would read it with no pause like Borat in the movie (if you have not seen the movie, I apologize for the obscure reference, but I'm sure you can find a clip on YouTube if you need clarification. These seem small, and if it was just one book, it might not have been so problematic, but over the course of 12 books, they become very noticeable and cringe worthy. At minimum, pay someone to listen to them first to correct the issues before publishing. However, if you can get past the annoyances, it is an enjoyable series with some great characters. Until AI is improved, stick to human narrators...please.

Good storylines and characters, but use human narrators

AI voice is just not enough. It also mispronounces some words. The only way I got through the Harm series was by speeding it up to 1.4. The plots were interesting, which is why I kept reading, but the actual writing of the story was somewhat stilted.

Just ok.
