This book was extremely eye opening. There are distinct differences in husbands and wives and they way they see things. As I reflect on my own choices in marriage, I’ve made some critical errors. I’m going to try these strategies this week. Gonna recommend this book to others.

I’ve been married for 16 years. We’ve had amazing years, and we’ve had on the rocks years. We’ve worked through every issue from drugs to pastoral abuse and family issues. But we’ve gotten into a funk. And if I’ve learned anything from all that we’ve been through together, it’s that I can only control me, and me making my own changes has way more power over my marriage and my hubby’s behavior than anyone else could imagine. So, I needed someone to give it to me straight. And this did that. I may not have a new husband by Friday, because it’s Tuesday as I’m finishing the book, but I’m going to do my best.
Took a star away because of the loud music played. Otherwise, I thought a woman reading the book was a good idea. Makes it feel less confrontational, if that makes sense.

To the point and clear. The words are pictures that are easy to follow and encouraging action steps to put into practice immediately. Not condemning but matter of fact. Great reminders and clues into the husbands we love. Thanks, Dr. Leman!

One of the best book on marriage ever listened to. Dr. Leman is down to heart. A must read for every woman who desires to have a harmonious relationship.

Maybe I picked the wrong book for our past dysfunctional marriage & upbringing. This book touched on that a bit, but no real help for my marriage. I picked up a few good tips. In my experience, this book is good for couples who are just off track, not major issues in the marriage. I also couldn't get past the narration. The woman had a nice voice, but really monotone. It kept throwing me off. I would have liked it so much better if Dr. Leman would have read it!

I really enjoyed this book and where it's coming from. I've been guilty of treating my man like an adult child, so some of chapters were quite eye opening, and humbling for me. I've listened to it 3 times now, and started incorporating the principles and techniques into my marriage and let me tell you!!! My relationship has improved 10 fold! It makes sense to me, and even tho I fought the idea of some suggestions, after testing them out, they've been working. I realize not everyone is going to react the same way, but there is a bigger picture to relationships and marriage and if you're down to your last attempt, I highly recommend this book. Try to stay as open minded as possible!
