Overall, this book is very good with a lot of solid approaches to the mental game. There is some redundancy in the content but it’s not a big deal. There is a lot of good content peppered with anecdotes from MLB stars.

If you’re looking for a simple approach to the mental game of baseball that is applicable to other sports and to life, then I think you will like this book.

I wish I had read this book 20 years ago. I would have been a better coach, and better leader, and a better husband and father. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve in any sport or in life in general.

This book is excellent and covers everything most advanced baseball players learn after its too late. This information is the foundation for any seriously competitive ball player. Very well written and great audio delivery.

As a fan, not a coach or player, this book wasn't written for me. But it's essentially a self-improvement book for players and coaches. With ideas that could be attributed to probably any stressful job - or just life.
Honestly, the only thing I wish this book had (besides juicy baseball gossip) is a stronger leaning towards applying the practices in it towards life. - Though there is a clear understanding that they would ask that too.

Great breakdown. I have always been coaching a positive outlook and imagining there situations, but this is what I have been looking for, the complete package. I will begin implementing this is for all our pitchers.

I’ve gone through three copies of this book over the course of my career… reading, underlining, and highlighting on every page because every time I read it, I take away something new. I was fortunate enough to work personally with the author, and I can say firsthand that he gets it. This isn’t just another book by a sports psychologist. Ken immersed himself in the game, spending time with players both on and off the field. He gathered insights from countless athletes, shaping this book into what I call my baseball bible for sharpening mental skills. If you’re serious about the mental side of the game, this is a must read.
