I have enjoyed this tale about a triad made up of a bartender who is more than human and two commanders of the space station where California’s bar is. I like the fact that the heroine in this novel was smart, business save and caring about all who worked for her.

I looked at this cover and assumed this was just going to be a thin story to hold up the 90% sex scenes. As usual, no matter what is on the cringe worthy cover, M.K. Eidem dose not disappoint with her mastery of world building and her fine balance of story points.

As some other reviewers have noted the main character jumps in the sack with little to no thought put into it but this is true to the characters mores, and her stated way of life and expectations of romance so it did not seem out of place to me. Times have changed and this book reflects this and i like her reasoning and attitude. If i could take all of the sex scenes out, or 90% of them, i would but they must sell books i guess. At any rate, they are well written and not to annoying to skip if you so choose.

I am a few hours in and really excited to find out about her ancestery, the cultures, the space station, I think there is a mystery going on. Lots ot dive into and be curious about and she is building them all up bit by bit around further building out the characters. LOVE this author, The covers do not do these books justice.

The author has always been one of my favorite authors. The book has been extremely well written and narrated. Sci-fi romances are the best books in my opinion. This story has action, intrigue, suspense and romance.
The narrator’s do an amazing job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. I definitely recommend this audiobook!

Surprisingly

I haven't even finished this book and I'm loving it. It is so nice to see a strong female role. I so hope this will become another series. I so love all of M.k. Eidem's books. The narration is fantastic and so enjoyable.

sometimes very repetitive but all In all I liked it. also I did enjoy the sound effects in the narration. it was different and I really liked it

I have a hard time wrapping my brain around scifi/fantasy. I got lost in the names of the characters and far off lands. I love books by this author because they are easy to follow and the stories are interesting. Listening to them is also great because I don't get hung up on pronouncing the names.

I am a fan of M. K. Eidem. However, sometimes, like all artists, she misses the mark. Let me be clear, this audiobook is not terrible however it’s not her best which is why I am only rating it 4*.

Cali is a strong woman but she has too many men. One of which I didn’t like at all, he was selfish, cruel, and egotistical. I have found throughout my life that selfish men rarely care about pleasing a woman in any facet of life, let alone the bedroom. So I could not believe he would be a decent lover.

The plot had some depth with political intrigue and a lot of action although I miss the Tornians Series which is how I fell in love with her characters and worlds.

I also didn’t like the sound effects with the audio. I know that BBC and other professional recordings are big fans of added sound, but I find it distracting. Otherwise, Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill did a fantastic job narrating this audiobook. I would recommend it to sci-fi romance fans who know M.K. Eidem, what her writing is like, but also with the warning of this one is just okay, but still romantic and entertaining.

I Miss the Tornians Series, Sorry!
