When phone-sex operator Azrael gets into Travis's Uber, the driver profile claims Travis is deaf. Thank goodness, right? Otherwise, the guy would hear Az's dirty talk which would be all kinds of humiliating considering Az is actually a virgin who doesn't even know if he's doing phone job properly.

But Travis isn't deaf. He's standing in for someone else and hears every single word of Az's raunchy call. So when they're randomly set up on a blind date together, the sparks fly from the very first moment they meet. What follows is a steamy connection in which Azrael and Travis realize they have more in common than they originally thought despite Az's strict family and Travis's ten-year age difference.

This 17k-word short is full of awkward blind date moments, first-time you-know-what, interfering family, and sweet, sweet dance moves.

I love these shorts by the author. As usual, she puts it all out there and Michael's narration is awesome. One of the best parts for me is that Uber ride and you meet Travis and Azrael. Did I want a longer story, yes I always want more from these shorts but Ms. Lennox knows what she's doing because I keep clicking again and again. 👍

Very short so can’t except tthe chemistry between characters to be very established. Can’t really tell much.

Very short stand alone story that introduces us to Azreal, a 25 year old who is the son of a Senator. He is supposed to be going to law school, but hasn't found a way to tell his family that while he got his undergrad degree in dance and his MBA, he decided against law school and has been teaching dance - and that is his passion. Oh, and he's gay.

He meets Travis when Travis is standing in for his deaf brother - taking his Uber shift - when his brother has to go on a job interview. Azrael doesn't realize that the driver is not actually deaf and hears his entire conversation while in Travis' car - oh, did I mention that one of Azrael's other jobs is as a phone sex operator. Ummm, that's a bit embarrassing :)

Imagine their surprise when they discover that they have matched on a dating app and find themselves at a restaurant for the date.

There is not much else to say. This is a short story, so not really much plot. This is a case of insta-lust, because of course they end up together. I do think that this story has potential, but it was just too short for us to really feel anything for the MMC's.

This was narrated by Michael Dean, who as usual, did his normally fantastic job. If Ms. Lennox decided to create more with these characters, I would be interested in them. They both have bunches and bunches of potential.
