I pressed in to finish the book but feel she made her character about as dumb as they get. I know she was drownded with fear... but she was as stupid as it gets.

Didn't like the narration. Found it hard to feel the proper emotions because of their inflections. Story was good not great. Quite predictable.

I really enjoyed this book - especially the unexpected twists and turns!
The intensity of the first person view into the mind of the villain was well-written - both believable and haunting.

The beginning of this book was difficult. t was so slow then the middle picked up with a good plot and the outcome was just ok.

I liked the twist, got a little confusing jumping back and fourth, i had to re-listen at times thinkin I missed something when it jumped back and fourth. However, good read.

normally i always feel a little let down at the end of a book..not this one. it held me captive start to finish.

This book has a very clever twist midway, but the rest of the story is so predictable that I thought that the solution had to be a red herring when I first figured it out early on. Disturbing scenes of domestic violence from the perpetrator's point of view take up a big proportion of the book but don't advance the plot. I don't think I will read this author again, if this is representative of her work.

Clare knows her subject and her descriptions and character development is perfect. Can’t wait to read her next book.
