Acerca de esta escucha

Who are unchurched Harry and Mary? He or she could be the neighbor who is perfectly happy without God. Or the coworker who scoffs at Christianity. Or the supervisor who uses Jesus’ name only as profanity. Or the family member who can’t understand why religion is so important.

Inside the Mind of Unchurched Harry and Mary isn’t a book of theory. It’s an action plan to help you relate the message of Christ to the people you work around, live with, and call your friends. Using personal experiences, humor, compelling stories, biblical illustrations, and the latest research, Lee Strobel helps you to understand non-Christians and what motivates them. The book includes:

  • 15 key insights into why people steer clear of God and the church
  • A look at Christianity and its message through the eyes of a former atheist
  • Practical, inspirational strategies for building relationships with non-Christians
  • Firsthand advice on surviving marriage to an unbelieving spouse

The subject of evangelism is often made Soooooo difficult and complicated, but I like lee strobel and his way of writing and his own approach to evangelism. He clearly has a powerful reason for writing this book and this causes a great focus and meaning for this writing and it's not boring at all. There are much to learn from this book, and liked his easy and clear way of writing. Super book that all can learn from.

So thankful for this type book. I am enlightened on new approaches that are imperative.

Profound story & so needed today in America

This book seems to be geared toward helping churches (rather than individuals) be relevant to people interested in learning about God. It's a little outdated, too. Not bad, just not what I was looking for.

Not what I wanted

What did you like best about this story?

Lee Strobel has been a favorite of mine since I read his Case for Christ, Case for Faith, and Case for a creator book several years ago. Recently I found and read Case for thr Real Jesus. This book, although different in tone and focus shares that quality of excellence I have come to expect from mister Strobel. His insight, suggestions and warnings about pitfalls to avoid were helpful to me, who is actively trying to grow an old and dying church in my area.

How could the performance have been better?

As good as the content of the book was, I could only listen for a few minutes at the time. At age 10, my children could read better than this narrator. Additionally, the man's voice is like nails on a chalk board. After 10 or 15 minutes of listening to him, I get an urge to kick a small animal.

The solution is I will buy a print copy, and note this fellow's name so I am not in a position to hear him again--EVER.

Great book, annoying narrator
