Acerca de esta escucha
If you are listening to this book, there is a good chance you already know what PMDD is. I, however, lived many years of my life not knowing what PMDD was or that such a thing even existed. I knew that I occasionally had a rough menstrual cycle now and then, but most women do, right? Nothing could prepare me for the monthly monster that would soon creep in and destroy my life as I knew it. And destroy everything in my life it did. Relationships, friendships, jobs, and just life in general. PMDD is like the worst nightmare you could ever imagine coming to visit you regularly. Every. Single. Month.
Does your life seem to be a huge dumpster fire living on an endless roller coaster that you can’t seem to escape? You may have PMDD. I want to dedicate this book to all the women and individuals who suffer from this gut-wrenching disorder. There is a way out. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Knowledge is power. This is my kick-ass guide to reclaiming your life and fighting that monthly battle with your nemesis, PMDD. You may not feel strong now, but you will be.

I just finished reading Kandi's Kick-Ass Guide to PMDD a Non-fiction book written by Kandi Torrence. I read the AudioBook published by Kandi Torrence. An author gifted this to me. I listened to this book on Audible. It is a stand alone book.
This book is a must read if you like: Practical tips, real life experience, women's health studies, and non-fiction in general.
Written by an experienced healthcare provider from the Southeastern U.S. with over 18 years of nursing experience who was also diagnosed with PMDD, this book is an open, honest look into life with PMDD.
A quick read, this book is short, insightful, and honest.
I personally believe research into women's health is woefully behind. We need more books like these to destigmatize the female experience.
I have never read a book about PMDD, and I especially love that the author has person and medical experience.
The best part of this book is the genuine vulnerability of the author's personal experience with PMDD and the effect it had on her life.
The narrator was clear and worked well with the subject matter.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read.
