As a lawyer, I appreciate that the legal aspects are spot on. I also admire how the author captures the feel of both San Antonio and South Texas. Small town secrets are masterfully woven together and the characters are believable and well-developed. I felt like I knew the places and the people as I read the book, although it has a plot twist I never saw coming. Definitely a must read!
