After eight years of youth ministry and four years planting a church, I was done. It was over. A lethal combination of overwork, misplaced identity, and a stress-induced sense of panic took me out. Our marriage, once a vibrant ministry partnership, began to wobble. We struggled, we fought, and eventually we settled for a child-centric relationship that lacked passion and purpose. But God gave us another chance. We are now experiencing the reality of a marriage on mission. This is our story.

I liked hearing the authors read the book in their own words - made it feel more real to me. Since this book is primarily the story of their ministry burnout, marriage struggles, and path to healing and partnership I liked hearing it better than reading it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the last few chapters as they pieces it all together. Tom outlines practical applications on how to succeed in your relationship with your spouse.

I believe that anyone searching for a a step by step process to revive, resurrect or thrive at their marriage to hear Tom out. And perhaps practice the nuggets of wisdom he has placed in this book.
