Ms. Knight has created the Mageverse world based on old Arthurian legends-with a lot of twists. In Master of Seduction, Rachel is a small town police deputy who is the descendant of the Majae. After she survives a tragic domestic violence call on the job, she is chosen to receive The Gift of magic. Nathan is a Court Seducer, the vampire assigned to trigger her latent magic by making love to her three times. The story follows the relationship that develops as Nathan tests Rachel's fighting and mental abilities to insure that she will be able to handle The Gift without going mad in the process.
Narrated by Ada Sinclair, this is a fast paced story. Ms. Sinclair does a great job with all the characters including a particularly haunting voice of a distressed child who Rachel is unable to forget. This voice, more than any other, gives real insight into Rachel's character and her insecurities.
I recieved a review copy of this audio by the author in exchange for a review. I will be purchasing additional audio books in this series when available because I thoroughly enjoyed it. While this is a complete story with no cliffhanger, the ending did seem a bit abrupt. Personally, I would have loved an Epilogue, but I expect that these characters will make appearances in other books in the series and I look forward to that.

Rachel is a police officer on leave after a justified shooting. Nathan is the court seducer who will decide if she will be gifted with her magic. The two of them strike sparks of all kinds. Throw in a giant man eating chicken and you’ve got an entertaining story. This story focuses on Rachel’s testing and transformation without any larger storyline. It was nice spending time on the actual process and getting to know both characters.

It was very exciting to have an audio version of Master of Seduction. Knight never fails to deliver an engaging plot and a hot sexy romance. In the beginning I was unsure of the narrator but I ended up liking her impersonations of the different characters. I really hope they adapt the rest of the series into audiobooks and I look forward to any future new releases from Angela Knight!

well written as always. I highly recommend all Angela Knight's books.
I was unsure about the narration but by the end of the 1st chapter I had acclimated to her voice.
Well built world and excellent story telling.

I hate only giving this 3 stars because I have loved the story for years but the narrator made it difficult to justify a higher rating for the audiobook. Her voice was so randomly breathy and she made such strange inflection and pausing choices that she kept pulling me out of the story. I would definitely think twice before listening to another narration by her, especially if it wasn't a story I was familiar with. Full disclosure, I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
