With the successful conclusion of the monster subjugation campaign, Eizo returns home with a new addition to the family—Lidy!

However, his days of battling beasts aren't quite over. During a chance encounter with Samya's childhood friend, Jolanda, the family learns of another corrupted bear that's stalking around the Black Forest. Jolanda also mentions a tantalizing rumor about a magical knife, which Rike and Eizo are eager to investigate. Could this be a new product to add to Forge Eizo's lineup?

Eizo also receives a new large-scale commission that will test his skills, along with some troublesome news—there are signs of a revolution brewing in the neighboring empire. Things go from bad to worse when Eizo finds out that the legendary mercenary Lightning Blade Helen has been taken prisoner by the empire! Can a humble blacksmith come to her rescue? one thing I've noticed from reviews is people are hung up about the mistakes in blacksmithing. let me say that doesn't matter. this is a fantasy in another world so please ignore those. other reviews voice their concerns but those are mostly personal preferences. I've really enjoyed these books. I love the unique story and love the characters. my only regret in these books is the lack of romance. before people call me a pervert let me explain. I'm not wanting the Harem smut (which this series doesn't have). I want the miss opportunity's for those sweet moments of first kisses or even cuddling (not to say their isn't a mild cuddle in this book but it's not a typical cuddle even if it's sweet). those are my opinions. very good read regardless of opportunity's mist keep up the good work.

This series is a great combination of laid-back and relaxing with small doses of excitement. Perfect for anyone looking to escape for a few hours into a quiet blacksmithing life.

The bottom line underneath the crunchy granola, He's a modern man transported to a backwards world and he's basically a Tony Stark arms dealer. He made the choice to start making weapons of war and even selling in bulk. Being a blacksmith he had the opportunity to make other things to help improve the world.

The MC explaining off why he's decided to chop his own d off and live a monk's life in the forest still inextricably surrounded by a harem of hotter than hot women is tidily explained away by, "I don't want to pollute this world with my own offspring" is the most frustrating part of this series. WHY HAVE A HAREM if the MC is never going to do anything about it? I'd rather the series never include women at all if the author hates them so much rather than shove them in our faces but go, "nah," and then breeze right over it.

In the REAL world where majority rules, if the MC was surrounded by women who all want to hook up with him he would get outvoted and pulled to the bedroom whether he wants to or not. He's condemning the women to the same death of their bloodlines. I don't remember reading anywhere that the "goddess" said anything about not having children. Just that his existence would not cause any particular backlash. This point makes me hate this series despite the rest which is passable.

I can tolerate being insulted by the author through the MC constantly calling everyone over 30 old pieces of crap and constant reminders that he's just using cheats, just using cheats, just using cheats, just using cheats... but that whole "I'm not going to answer the feelings of my women and take responsibility" makes the MC look callous and cruel, a coward, and speaks to his low amount of manhood.

Women are sexual creatures, and even if the MC decided to be a lifelong prude he would have to make a set of mithril chastity underwear for himself. His "family" would be getting their needs fulfilled elsewhere.

Now I remember why I stopped reading this series....

MC: I refuse to reproduce cause that will affect the future of this world.. also MC: let's build a God tear weapon that'll one shot dragons and topple nations.. lazy writing.. also idk who prices these books but they are getting quite bit greedy

most likely will be my last purchase of this series
