First and foremost, I would like to say that I am blessed to be with someone who is not a narcissist. I listened to this audiobook to learn more about narcissism so I would be able to also help others who are not in a good place in their relationships. This book is a good resource that I can recommend to friends who are with someone who causes them regret, sadness, and anxiety. Like what the author said in this book: you deserve better; you are not to blame; you are worth it.

I listened to this book so that I could better support a friend who is struggling in their relationship. This book confirmed what I already knew - a narcissist can't be fixed with love. Her SO does so many of the things mentioned in this book to make her feel at fault every time they have an argument. I hope by sharing this book with her she will be able to use the information (especially chapter 5) to get out. I think the information in this book is useful to everyone so that they can recognize this type of person before they are embroiled in a relationship with them.

The first time I heard this term I was in high school learning mythology and I Learned about Narcissus but that was not the whole story. Through the years, I learned so much more but never truly grasped the depths until I read/listened to this book. It is an incredibly in depth look and just wow. Red flag warning: you might know someone who is!

This book doesn’t beat around the bush with heavy jargon. It lays out the situation in plain English, making it easier to spot the tell-tale signs of a narcissist. The chapter on the sneaky tactics narcissists pull was spot on and the tips on setting boundaries. The author makes everything so easy to understand. It has opened my eyes and I feel confident that I can identify an unhealthy relationship with a narcissistic partner in the futer.

This book is powerful! Until reading it, I didn’t understand how I had been in a narcissistic relationship. I did know it wasn’t very healthy and now I understand why. This book is packed full of game-changing information on how to recognize narcissism in others, setting boundaries, and identifying when to exit a relationship. Finally, a book confirms, that it’s not me! I wish I would’ve had this book years ago. Nonetheless, I’m on my way to healing. I feel empowered, wiser, more equipped, and ready to put into practice what I’ve learned. This book is awesome. It’s a definite must-read!
