This book was diabetically sweet! 😂

I'm always moving between tropes so I don't get tired of any, and this time, I've moved from dark fantasy to this sweet small town age gap/ best friend's big brother, and I definitely got the whiplash that I was waiting for.

Ramsey, (I still don't like this name for a FMC 😬), ran away from a controlling father, an abusive boyfriend and a neglecting mother.
She found herself with her auntie, her uncle and 9 cousin that loved and cared for her the way a family always should, living a good life in a small town. She had no personal life though, only work work work.

When her bestie sets her up to a blind date photoshoot with her older brother, everything changes for her!

Deacon is perfect! There's no other word to describe him. I Honestly don't think that there's a "Deacon" in real life at all 😂😂😂.
The man is patient, calm, collected, funny, gorgeous, wealthy, understanding, passionate, loyal and the list can go on and on forever!
I wanted to find at least one flaw to this man, to maybe make him more human, but there's not a single one.

He works of Ramsey insecurities and show her the kind of love that she never thought possible to have.

It was a sweet and cozy kind of audiobook, with literally zero angst (I kind of missed that) and just a small drama with Ramsey trash parents.

If that's your gem, so go for it!

🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧

Narrated by Jack Maverick and Lexy Mae and it was surprisingly good! Her voice is so young, but it kinda of fitted perfectly for Ramsey character. Jack was also a great fit for Deacon.
Both are new to me narrators and I'll look forward to see them again!

Never With Me by Kaylee Ryan is a small-town contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Jack Maverick and Lexi Mae.

This is the first book of Kaylee's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the instant connection between Ramsey and Deacon. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Jack and Lexi did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like small town romances, best friends brother romance, or contemporary romances.

Having first picked up this story when it released I've been looking so forward to this audiobook. I got right back into this story. I've been wanting to get into Ms.Ryan's audiobooks and i'm so happy that i got the chance to do so with this one! I enjoyed this listen so very much!

Being new to both Jack Maverick and Lexi Mae i couldn't wait to listen to their narration! Both Lexi and Jack got me right back into this world with their narration as Ramsey and Deacon. Getting to experience this story again in this new way through their voices added even more to my enjoyment of the story. From the feels to the real and heart, Lexi and Jack captured Ramsey and Deacon's journey in such awesome ways. I can't wait to listen to more of Jack and Lexi's narration in the future!

Ramsey and Deacon's journey once again pulled my heart and i in right from the get go! Ramsey and Deacon are brought into each other's lives during a blind-date photoshoot and it's unforgettable for both of them. Can these two find a way to take a chance together and open their hearts to each other?

From the unique way Ramsey and Deacon were brought together to their realness, i thoroughly enjoyed their story and this listen! There was such strength and relatability to Ramsey and i adored her. Deacon and his sweet ways had me falling for him again! The connection and chemistry they shared was so wonderful. I loved how i felt so many things throughout this listen with Ramsey and Deacon.

With Never with Me, Ms.Ryan has created such a great story that brought the feels and heart! From the story to the narration, this was such a great listen for me that got me right in the chest. If you haven't checked out this author's work yet, you so need to!

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Ramsey’s father was demanding and controlling, arranging her marriage, choosing her husband and giving her an ultimatum, marry him or he would disown her. She would not marry Robert, the brute he set her up with, so he made her leave with nothing but the clothes on her back. Luckily, she had her phone and called her aunt, who took her in with no questions. Ramsey got to see what a real loving home was like while living with her aunt and cousins. She also worked as many jobs as she could, so she would never have to depend on anyone ever again. When her best friend, Palmer, a photographer, convinces her to do a blind date photo shoot, reluctantly she agrees to do it. Deacon is a workaholic, he is a lawyer in a small law firm in Willow Creek and is hoping the partners of the firm who are considering retirement choose him to take over the practice. He does not have time to date and socialize much, but when his sister asks him to do a blind date photo shoot, he wanted to say no but couldn’t. He was not expecting his blind date to be with Ramsey or the deep attraction he felt for her. Those two clicked immediately and as much as Deacon tried to convince himself that he could not pursue her, he just could not help himself. Deacon was amazing with Ramsey, astute and picking up that she held back and had secrets, he was so patient and caring with her, waiting for her to tell her story on her own terms. This beautifully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of romance, charm, heartfelt emotions, and a swoon worthy romance. Loved the ending and how it worked out for Ramsey, who got the last laugh with her father. Kaylee Ryan, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Jack Maverick and Lex Mae were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Lexi Mae nailed it as Ramsey, grasping every side of her personality, her strength and insecurities, and Jack Maverick did the same for Deacon. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

wonderful age gap romance. the author does great with the writing style and the characters have great chemistry you feel the love coming off of the page. the narrators done great told the story with feeling. I love the his and hers pov and m/f voices.

this was a cute story, it's a slow burn, but fun to read/listen to. kinda Reminded me of a Rated R Hallmart movie. lol 😁 just because of the spice scenes. yes with that said it is a bit cheesy. the narrators did a really good job too.

This book was the golden standard for how women should be treated. It was a great, sweet palate cleanser. When I say it’s fluffy, I mean it in a good way. This is one that is good to read in between heavy books for a reset. It was very wholesome and hallmarkish. I enjoyed it.

The narration by Jack Maverick and Lexi Mae was on point. Definitely recommend the audio.

Someone said this book repeated itself all the time, I don’t mind, yet this one had a very flat plot which made those issues more annoying. We didn’t get anything to distract from the same old thing, age gap (10yrs) and lil sister’s best friend,workaholic … 🤔
There’s one positive thing, the author was really good about setting the meet cute 😊
If you ask me this story could’ve been a cute novella.

Deacon is the most thoughtful, sweet, and perfect boyfriend. He meets Ramsey his youngest sisters best friend and his best friends cousin. A 10 year age difference is a stumbling block, but the instant connection can’t be denied.
So enjoyable to listen to a sweet romance that isn’t overly angsty…it is fun to have a romance from time to time that just makes you smile
I enjoyed the story line, enjoyed a truly lovable, kind and understanding male hero. The female lead is also sweet and willing to overcome her fears related to her miserable parents and childhood
Kaylee Ryan isn’t an author I’m very familiar, but will happily look for more of her books
Very enjoyable narration…2 narrators I’ll look for in the future.

Omg I love this book! This is my first Kaylee Ryan book, but not my last. Ramsey and Deacon had me from the very net. This is a age gap/ best friends brother, instant connection romance. Both Ramsey and Deacon are workaholics. Ramsey ran away from home and is making a name for herself. She will never need to rely on anyone but herself. Her best friend is a photographer. She begged Ramsey to come do a blind date photo shoot. Her best friend chose her older brother Deacon to be her blind date. They both knew of the other but never really met because they are 10 years different in age. It was attraction at first sight. I loved every moment of it. I hope there will me more books to come about Ramsey’s cousins and Deacon’s sisters. Lexi Mae and Jack Maverick did a fabulous job narrating this book.
