Would you listen to Nine Minutes again? Why?

Probably not, as I do not usually re-listen. There are some parts that are hard to stomach and would not want to experience them again.

What did you like best about this story?

That for a short novel, there is still a lot of character development and substance to the story. Kept me wanting to listen.

What does Monique Makena bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great voice acting, much more entertaining than reading, and I can experience the story while multitasking! Monique was definitely a great narrator for the story, pleasant to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I'm sure I laughed a couple of times, I did not cry, but there were definitely some sad moments. I felt anger, love, fear, and disgust at times, sometimes all at once. I definitely had a love/hate relationship with more than one character.

Any additional comments?

I was shocked that I enjoyed this story as much as I did. Kind of brutal at times, and I typically don't shy away from this, but some parts were hard to listen to. I am not sure how I feel about the ending, it leaves you hanging as to what the main character is thinking/feeling when all is revealed. Kind of feels like there needs to be a sequel, but not sure there is enough substance for that. I guess it is left up to the listener/reader to imagine how she would react.

this book is literally one of a kind.. i was team grunt then grizz then just mindblown several times.. i can honestly say this book has messed with my mind to the point of turmoil. I highly highly suggest you pick this series up, but fair warning you will never be the same.. TEAMGrizz!

Awesome- loved these books! I am finding it hard to read other books now - nothing so far can compare. Just great!

This book had me from chapter one. It was different and well written. I really appreciated that even though the book had dark subject matter the author didn't go into great detail describing the events. I'm not really a fan of dark romance and I was leery with this book, but I was held captive. I was so intransed that as soon as I finished I bought the ebook for book two and devoured it. That was big for me, as I only do audiobooks. Fingers crossed that Out of time will release on audible soon.

The Book was great. Well till the last two chapters. I'm still not sure who s secrets were who s and what the secrets were. Totally confusing.

I’ve never read Beth Flynn. She is now a favorite after only one book. This book kept me engaged and wanting more, more, more!!

If you like stories that involve motorcycle gangs, dark secrets, interesting twists and turns then this is a must read! It ends on a climax so if you are like me thank goodness book 2 is available. I can honestly say this is one of the most fascinating books I have read in a long time! It is a must read! A book that will remind you why you love reading and or escaping in to audible-land!

This book was high intense and no faire tale. I loved all the twist and turns this story took. For a change the story was not your predictable read. I really enjoyed it.

Hearing this story again ... brings the Grizz/Ginny love story back and I’m still #TeamGrizz even more now then when this book first came out. Great performance by Ms. Makena, although I would have loved to hear a male performance for the male parts - esp. that of Grizz and Grunt.

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!
