**READ THE TRIGGERS**
This is a post war omegaverse world were omegas are the "handmaidens". This book is mostly trauma with some consensual scenes. Kept me in a constant state of anxiousness but I'm you can handle it, there's never a dull moment

The author has quite the imagination. Sounds like much of the atrocities that occurred in the past. I can’t understand if an Alpha has this much control over an Omega, why was this necessary? The narrators did a great job bringing characters to life. Will follow series.

Interesting Storyline

I don’t normally listen to trauma stories, however a couple of reviews let me know what was inside. The narrators did well could at least tell the different characters apart. The new idea is fascinating to me which opens up the idea of is this the world that we currently live on. The future or a different branch/planet. Will also check out the rest of the series.

The Omega’s determination and growth saves the pack. I enjoyed the storyline. I hope the two omegas contact as some point.

Powerful Story

I don’t usually listen/read to a new author with just 10 reviews but I gave it a shot and it delivered! Interesting concept and well written story, there was no boring moment. It started out very strong, the end was a bit rushed for my taste but still I enjoyed it very much.
Going on to the next one 🤩

Unexpectedly Good!

This is my first time with this author. While it was a good story I was confused as it felt like I was picking up in the middle of a series, but this is the first book? Are they humans, shifters, or…? They live in modern times with tvs and cars but are part animal? I had no idea what was going on, clearly there must be another book prior to this series. Anyway, I would listen to Troy read from the dictionary so I’m still happy.

The performances are wonderful and expressive. Never rushed. The story line is amazing. This is one hard book to put down. Well thought out and written. The whole series so far has been exceptional!!!

I have enjoyed this book. The traumatic experiences were difficult. I don’t like the word triggering but I can see how it could be for some. The plot was interesting. Characters were solid. I did have a hard time with one particular area where she comes up with her own conclusion about something she eavesdrops on and then gets herself into trouble and then they have to rescue her from it because heaven forbid she just ask. After they have proven they aren’t like everyone. Sigh, she is forgiven but only because of her trauma. But other than that, this is a female lead I really really like. Which is saying something.

Wow… great story. The TRAUMA!! So yeah, check those warnings before reading.
But this was one serious backwards omegaverse world. It’s one of the first that I have personally read were the Omegas are completely second class citizens, to the point of slavish/ zero personal identity. The poor girls are given a number and names aren’t used while they are being “trained at the omega compound.” The Omega’s of the Universe are blamed for the low birth rates and for the beta women losing the ability to conceive at all. So the government controls the Omegas and who has access to them. Since they are the only ones that can get pregnant. And the children who are conceived outside of pack bond coupling are then adopted out to Beta parents. Also they are blamed for the war 20 years prior.
Heavy!
I nearly cried while listening to this while grocery shopping today.
The audiobook was fantastically narrated by none other than Troy Duran. That man’s voice just makes me melt.
Samantha Cook the other narrator also does a great job. I’m just a huge Duran fan. So I fan girl just a little 😅
