Recently widowed, Gemma, the chunky retired librarian, was dwelling in a cocoon of grief, isolation, and cookies, lots of cookies. She was stuck. She knew she needed to rebuild her life although she had no idea how to move forward without her beloved husband. But, her spunky best friend, Jo, was having none of it.

Jo was determined to un-stuck Gemma, and she knew exactly how to do it. It would be tricky, though. This was going to require stealth and maybe a bit of deceit and manipulation. Just a tiny bit. A miniscule bit, really.
Before Gemma recognized Jo’s scheme, the two best friends were careening down the highway in an enormous bus, headed for the farthest reaches of America. Two older women with zero RV experience, what could possibly go wrong?

Very entertaining from the very beginning. A simple getaway to help a friend grieving over death of her husband, grows into a roadtrip in a RV. I would recommend this to anyone. Can’t wait to listen to the next book. Great work!
