Acerca de esta escucha
Postpartum is Forever is meant to make you stop and think twice. Most women don’t really consider what is happening with their pelvic health until there is a problem. Preventative care is more important than ever so why not address the issue before it becomes one?
This book will provide you with valuable information to start feeling better right away! Author Dr. Jessica Papa wants to provide you with the best information possible to get you on the road toward resuming all of what you want to do in life. While she can not promise you that these tips will work for every single person, every single time, it is certainly better than spending another day putting up with pain, avoiding activities that you love, or relying on pain medication.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re quite young, are raising your kids, have no kids, or have kids that are long since out of the house. It doesn’t matter whether you are a high-level athlete or whether you get very little routine exercise. What does matter is that you have the most up-to-date and accurate information so that you can begin thinking about your pelvic health before you become pregnant or before you start displaying signs and symptoms of pelvic dysfunction. Through targeted work, we have the power to prevent, or greatly minimize, potential pelvic issues and encourage faster, smoother recovery from pelvic dysfunction, surgeries, and childbirth.
Treat your body with kindness wherever you find yourself.
Dr. Jessica Papa, affectionately known as Dr. Jess, is both a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in Pelvic Health and an expert in Barnes’ Myofascial Release. Dr. Jess is also an accomplished author who has written extensively about her work and who has devoted her entire professional career to helping others. In 2019, Dr. Jess published her first book, Conquering Mystery Pain: How Myofascial Release Can Help Heal YOU!, which recently became an Amazon Best Seller!
Dr. Jess received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College in 2008. Driven by a lifelong desire to help others, she knew she had found a career that would enable her to fulfill that desire when she discovered the field of Physical Therapy. Her degree in psychology gave her clarity and the perfect foundation upon which to build this career, allowing her to see beyond a patient’s more visible injuries to examine key aspects of overall mind and body wellness. With laser focus, she continued her education, eventually earning a coveted Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University.
Dr. Jess has worked extensively with women of all ages who have health concerns surrounding pregnancy, trauma, bladder issues, and chronic pain. She specializes in helping women to restore their pelvic health so that they can get back to enjoying all the things an active, healthy woman should. Exercising, laughing with friends and family without fear of leaking, and yes, even enjoying sex again without having pain or fear of doing damage.
In Postpartum is Forever, Dr. Jess explores these timeless and relevant topics/issues:
