Acerca de esta escucha
Who throws an old Bible away, especially if MURDER is mentioned in the margins?
Conceived in the distant past, forgotten and overgrown, one might be surprised where a paper alley leads. While the obvious is found on well-worn streets, the truth may lie down a path less traveled.
The alley may not look like much. For a hundred years, its value rested in something more precious than money. The townspeople drove by a story forgotten by most, but not all.
In any small town, there are two people of insight: the pastor and the bartender. Strange how fresh blood can open interest in old wounds, and voices speak in the eventide. In your hands, you hold a paper alley. I dare you to find where it leads.
Mystery and intrigue intertwine in small-town affairs. The power-hungry politicians of small towns are willing to do anything, including murder. Families hold grudges through the generations. A home on Elm Street is for sale, that may or may not be a haunted house. Veterans of the Iraq War retire, thinking they left the war behind. Spiritual Warfare is everywhere. They left a culture of fair-minded goodness and upward striving to do the right thing. Now they face petty grievances, underhanded real-estate dealings, and less than stellar townspeople. This veteran couple just wants to raise their family in a wholesome setting. They thought this small college town would provide the perfect place. Human nature is to preserve self. God's nature is to love unconditionally.
