Acerca de esta escucha

Much like accountants, fey never forget a debt.

Just as Fred is settling down in his new abode, he receives word that a favor is being called in, one he promised to a dangerously powerful member of otherworldly royalty. Bracing danger, adventure, and unknown threats, Fred is instead asked to take on an entirely different role than anticipated.

Acting as interim professor at one of the few universities for supernatural entities, Fred will have to navigate a strange environment, eccentric coworkers, and unenthusiastic students. Yet that alone won't be enough, for this college has more history than the tales in its tomes.

Remnants of the past that could put Fred, and his students, in mortal peril.

Enough with Quinn. Get rid of him entirely or for at least 3-4 books. That storyline is dead. Fantastic book other than that.

Enough with *spoiler*

Drew Hayes. Has done it again! Another supremely entertaining story about Fred the vampire accountant. Highly recommend.

Another excellent Fred, the vampire book

What i love about Fred the vampire accountant books is the slice of life glimpse at this wonderful world Drew Hayes has created.(not to mention the irreplaceable performance by Kirby)

The writing makes it seem like the stakes are high but often misunderstandings. (Actually not so much in this offering but still)
I like that it doesnt have to be “The End of The WORLD AND only the protagonist can save it!!1!!” In fact i much prefer the opposite. This series scratches such a particular itch. I hope they continue making these for a pong, long time. I know i will continue to consume them like offer led Dragon’s blood or whatever Sherif Thorgood is. 😊

Great addition to the story.

Story and narration are both awesome as usual. I will be very sad when the story of Fred actually ends.

Drew and Kirby knock another great Fred take out of the park!

I love this series so much. Despite it being absolutely fantastical it feels like it is set in reality and totally plausible. The characters are well developed and make logical decisions, which isn’t always the case for some literature. Each addition adds a new level of suspense as more information is revealed and characters develop. This book series is an easy read/listen, but don’t let that fool you! It is fully packed and I never know what antics the crew will get pulled into next. Kirby makes the performance really memorable and I could never see anyone else being able to fit the role better than him at this point. If anyone ever makes an film/tv adaption he better be number one on the list to play Fred! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication Drew, you’re doing a fantastic job and we appreciate all of your efforts!

Best Vampire Fantasy Series

The previous books were about Fred exploring the para-human world more, making friends, allies and enemies. And through it all, it’s mostly been focused on Fred building those relationships through the various chaos and secrets he finds himself embroiled in time and again. And that’s been the real charm to this series. How uninteresting Fred wants to be as a bit of a foil to the more chaotic para-humans around him, and how his relationships with the para-humans grows in the midst of that conflict. And while he does still want to live his simple life and doesn’t want the chaos of the para-human world, it grows his relationships with his house and that makes it worth it.

Fred spends this book at a school as a guest teacher removed from that environment. Some of the friends come by to visit, but they do so as guest lecturers at the school, and that type of dynamic made them more formal by nature, when they are typically a bit more fun and chaotic. Conflict and chaos happen, but his friends are more composed and professional in response to the brashness of students. And so in that more formalized type role, you also didn’t have many opportunities to show that side or the growth of the house of Fred aside from the necromancer battle and revelation about Al. Fred’s relationships with his students was also more formal because of this environment, so the new characters he meets are not giving the feelings of bonds of equals through chaos in the same way the house of Fred

It felt more like a bridge book. The book didn’t do to much interesting to grow the main characters, but it set up one (possibly two) foes, introduced some students, established a change in the conflict of the battle against Quinn, and it introduced the mysterious vampire book. There were absolutely feels, surprises, revelations, and conflict, but I am happy that Fred is done with his time teaching and will return to his home and clan in the next book.

Good but it lacked the house of Fred charm

When the manor was destroyed, what happened to the “ Tons of gold “ eluded to when she was introduced to the story line.

Charlotte manor/ arms

Fun addition to the storyline. Definitely felt like filler fluff meant to add only a few tiny bits to focus on in later books, without sounding too obvious. Will be interesting to see how they develop from here.

Fun but for future use rather than a full story here.
