Acerca de esta escucha

In Primary Valor (The Forging of Luke Stone, Book 5), a ground-breaking action thriller by number one best seller Jack Mars, elite Delta Force veteran Luke Stone, 29, and the FBI’s Special Response Team, are summoned when a teenage girl is taken captive and trafficked to a billionaire’s private retreat in South America. Luke is handed an impossible rescue mission, pitting one man against an army.

Making matters worse, behind it all may be something much greater, leading to the upper echelons of government, and to a national security crisis.

Primary Valor is a stand-alone, un-putdownable military thriller, a wild action ride that will leave you listening late into the night. The precursor to the number one best-selling Luke Stone Thriller series, this series takes us back to how it all began, a riveting series by bestseller Jack Mars, dubbed “one of the best thriller authors” out there.

Book 6 is also available!

Also available is Jack Mars’ number one best-selling Luke Stone Thriller series (seven books), which begins with Any Means Necessary (Book 1), a free download with over 800 five star reviews!

I loved the storyline, this was excellent but….. the narrator was horrible! I cannot begin to tell you how distracted I was at the terrible way yhat he portrayed different characters…. It was bad….

Please change narrator!

Let's get the narration out of the way. It's quite good, not perfect, but good. The women's voices are fine, and there is differentiation among the men. He needs to learn to improve his Spanish (poliCIa not poLIcia), and he needs to pronounce Luke's name correctly. It needs to be said with the vowel of "Luc, use the Force," the same vowel as in "shoot". He says it as "Look" you know, rhyming with book, took, and shook. It can slip through most of the time, but not when Luke looks at something; then it becomes "Look looked". Made me snort in the middle of a shoot out. Okay, 'nuff said.

Shooting, flying, planning, back stabbing, megalomania, kidnapping, trafficking, it's all here. But it is better than that; there's guilt, trauma, and introspection. Several good people die and that's sad. The story balances the action with the self-justifying done by the bad guys, and the soul searching done by Luke, Ed, and the victim, as well as contemplating the motivations of the 70-year-old who can't leave the work. And then there's the question of whether death is enough punishment for some crimes. Not just empty hours of blood letting.

Well-balanced all around

Reader took away from the book...awful sound effects and other than that it was a great Luke Stone tale.

Cartoonish Voices

Luke and Ed face pure evil that reaches into the heart of the lair of the corrupt D.C. power brokers with all of their dirty secrets.

Fast paced and gripping.

A combination of Epstein and the movie, Taken

Although I listened to this one after I listened to the other Luke Stone series. It was definitely a good end of the series. Hopefully Jack continues to write more.

Luke Stone series is a must.

The story was to convoluted. There needed to be a more believable one. Didn’t like the narration.

Dull

Not what I expected from Jack Mars. The story was a recreation of that real life billion/millionaire (whatever). The story was weak, the narrator was really bad (“bang, bang (flash bangs)””da, da, da, da” (MP5 Fire). I felt like I was listening to a 1970 bat man show.

Very disappointed

A bit too graphic for me. I realize trafficking is brutal, burn the parts about cut up dead kids was too over the top for me.

Too Grpahic

The bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Literally regularly when there is gun fire. Or voicing a ‘BOOM’ for an explosion! It is not done well. It is annoying and I cringe.

Also technical accuracy. Specifically for weapons and accessories. Whomever reviews that part of the books quite obviously does not know the subject.

The story this time was slow to get into but then was enjoyable as always. With the two aforementioned criticisms. Let me do weapon related editing. As Amazon knows all they know I’m very well qualified.

Really!?!? Sound effects by mouth?

After 5 min of listening to this book I realized I had made a mistake. The narrator's voice is monotone, annoying, lacking any emotion and made a long drive even longer. It isn't the narrator's fault, it's whoever hired him that should be fired.

Worst narration I've heard after 90 books
