One morning in 2008 he fell into a coma after suffering a rare form of bacterial meningitis. Scans of his brain revealed massive damage. Death was deemed the most likely outcome. I've always been fascinated in the untethering of conciousness from the material brain explained by NDEs and this one is by far the most detailed. In addition the doctors attempts at explaining something which is beyond our universe and language is very good. We are indeed not human beings in search of a spiritual experience but rather spiritual beings having a human experience.

I have read the book before. Enjoyed listening to the audio but difficult to follow all the medical explanations as a layman. My husband died i January this year and although I have always believed and read other NDE experiences it comforts me and I hope my husband has found his heaven.
