Jared is determined to find the truth, but that truth may be more than his heart can take.

Jared Crowe and his brother, Hoyt, have returned to the mountain that they once called home. This is no ordinary mountain...this is where their parents died and left them orphaned...this is where their aunt abused them...this is where a young girl helped them escape. Now the Crowe brothers have returned...mainly because Jared wants to take revenge on his aunt because he can't move on with his life and settle down until his aunt has her day of reckoning. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned & the brothers are captured separately. Sparrow can't believe her luck! She's captured someone who was spying on her community. She believes that this is the opportunity for a 'promotion'...this mountain group runs guns, drugs and prostitution, and the matriarch is powerful enough in the county that she is never crossed. When she discovers that Jared is one of the boys that she helped escape all those years ago, she is ready to help find his brother and leave the mountain for good. Once again, things don't go as planned. Sparrow and Jared find Hoyt barely alive...and Jared believes that she is responsible. Will they escape the mountain and will Hoyt survive? Overall a good story, even though Jared was a bit of a jerk for most of the book. Looking forward to Hoyt's story.

Jared has planned revenge for a long time and Sparrow gets the brunt of those bottled up feelings when he believes her at fault for his brothers injuries. This is one intense story of standing up for what's right. admitting wrong doing, and learning to trust.

So loved the first three books. The Barrator was awesome. I so hope the rest of the series will be on Audible.

Reckless River is book 3 in the Men of Mercy series by Lindsay Cross. Great book. Plenty of Action, suspense, unexpected turns and of course, romance! I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Narration by Aiden Snow was perfection as always. Aiden had the deepest sexiest seductive voice ever. He always brings you right into the story from his first spoken word and never lets go.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. The characters grew on me. By the end, I had become attached.

I am really disappointed the rest of the series is not available on audible.

Good premise but parts of the story didn’t ring true. Aiden, as always, did a fantastic job as male narrator; however, they should pay for a female narrator for female voices.

This is the worst book of the series so far. The hero was a jackass throughout & the girl was wAaay too forgiving. The Tennessee mountain plot was thin & unresolved to my satisfaction. If I hadn't bought the audiobook, spent actual cash money on it, I wouldn't have finished the book. Thumbs down.

I never write reviews. But this, this book actually made me angry! He was SUCH a jerk, and it kept on and on...and the supposedly heroine was a doormat! Who wants to read about two such antiheroes? Mauvais, c'était mauvais.Do not care taht it was free, this is time I will never get back. Did not finish. Jumped to the end, and even then he was a jerk!

The "hero" is an arse!
