Welcome to a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.

This Audiobook gives you a bundle of two 10 hour programs for one price. The programs begin after a short narration of guided imagery to prepare you for sleep.

Program One: 10 hours of the sounds of Ocean Waves and Soft Tones of Calming Classical Music in the background.

Program Two: 10 hours of just the sounds of a mountain stream without the classical music.

The producer of the audiobook is an award-winning sound designer and composer. When he and his wife struggled with sleep apnea, he searched for an audio program that would help. "I mostly found cheap sound effects with repetitive, looping tones. Granted, my background makes me a little picky, but I found these programs more annoying that relaxing."

So he set out to record the best sounds he could find. The ocean waves, rain, thunder, streams and waterfalls are all original recordings.

Next, he experimented with tones. This program is the first to include arrangements of beautiful classical music. "I have produced over twenty experimental programs now and have had sleep doctors, patients, as well as my own friends and family members try them on. This current series of 'Relaxing Sounds' has been very well received and has been proven to be the most effective by the largest number of people."

Very effective!

I got this book because I've been having trouble sleeping lately and I have to say that it did the job. I found it very soothing and really helps with relaxation and falling asleep.

Super relaxing listen!

The ocean waves are calming and help me fall asleep easily. I love having the option to choose between surf sounds or music, and it’s great that it can play all night. My whole family enjoys it too.

Helps us relax and fall asleep

We just found this and apparently it is a new release on audible.
A welcome discovery indeed.
Very professional and very effective.
Just what we needed to unwind from the stress of the day.
(Makes me jealous of people who live on a shore.)
Had this playing for a week now, ready to try another in the series.

Just what I've been looking for Simple & Effective

Until now I couldn't find a sleep program that checks all the boxes for me on Audible.
For example, it really annoys me when I'm trying to sleep and the credits come on at the end, "Audible hopes you have enjoyed this program."
Not with THIS program. Unless you sleep more than 20 hours. (I WISH!)
I also like that with this program the voice at the beginning only lasts a couple of minutes. I don't need to hear a hypnotist drone on and on. I've tried that, and I can only listen to that same program a couple of times before it annoys me.
So for me, this works well. And there's more sounds to choose from. So that's a good thing to if you like variety.

Very soothing!

The ocean waves are very soothing and help me drift to sleep. Some nights I want the music tones in the background and some nights I prefer just the sounds of the surf. It's good to have a choice. etc. I like that I can put it on for 20 hours and not worry about it stopping while I'm asleep. My whole family likes these sounds. etc.

Sleeping better, thanks

We almost fall asleep with just the voice. The guided imagery is really just a prep for the ocean surf sounds, but the voice is so gentle that i feel like it is a form of mild hypnosis.
Then the smooth sounds of the ocean with mild musical notes.
We have it on very softly through the night.

Ocean waves galore!

If you like ocean waves. This is your jam. Abundance of a variety, choose your chapter/favorite and run/sleep with it. Natural brown noise is way better than white for sleep. Use this to bring nature to your bedroom without drowning in water, just sleep :)

I feel relaxed and encouraged to sleep

I'm listening as I type right now.
There's almost a gentle pull, encouraging me to nod off.
The voice did its job and now I'm going to have 10 hours of background sounds.
Works beautifully. Time to sleep.

Put me to sleep

I've had trouble sleeping since sustaining a head injury 35 years ago. I tried many different techniques, and methods under professional medical supervision. I've tried listening to many different audio recordings, so I feel qualified from a practical point of view to comment on this audiobook.
First the sound is soothing
2nd Its the type of sound that instantly makes you relaxed
3rd the recording lasts all night, which is a tremendous bonus, i.e. you do not need to get out of bed, or move to refresh
4th you can listen to it while you're awake...it calms, and leaves you feeling tranquil

I can't imagine that there would be anyone this didn't work for, so I've given it 5 stars

So peaceful and relaxing!

This book really was so peaceful and relaxing! I’ve been having trouble falling asleep as of late and the potting sounds from this have really helped me get a good nights rest!
