the main character was occasionally too much of a jerk for not enough reason but I enjoyed the worldbuilding and would read the next book to see if the characters get deeper too

The planets occupied by this race is brutal and evil. This little group of people despite the odds still fight with everything they have and even if they seemingly are against great odds still keep on fighting. The journey begins! Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.

This is REALLY good. It’s so good that I wished I would have read it 5 years from now so that I wouldn’t have to wait for the last two.

I like the story and world building but tge main character has the emotional maturity of a 5 year old. constantly full of tedious self recrimination, sacrificing all to punish herself for things beyond her control, lying to people who love hwr in a bid to punish herself blah blah blah. Come on...a bit of self love here...let's be realistic!
