Acerca de esta escucha

An empire on the rise. Sin City struggling to survive. Rules are meant to be broken.

Digby Graves is done running. He wants to make good on his declaration of war, which means he’s going to need allies and a land to call his own. That’s where Las Vegas comes in: what better kingdom could a necromancer ask for than the city of Sin itself? With an opportunist turned kingpin, an army of fanatics, and a hive full of monsters standing in his way, the stakes have never been higher. It will take every spell and underhanded tactic in his arsenal to carve out a victory.

Even though he's drawing in allies, the cards are stacked against him. Henwick is bent on ruling the world, and is willing to sacrifice anything or anyone to win. The only power that might sway the odds in Digby’s favor has been locked down by his enemy… for now. With everything on the line, Digby is going to need an ace up his sleeve to come out on top.

It’s time to assemble a crew and pull off the heist of the millennium.

David Petrie delivers a necrotic work of art once more! Follow Digby and his crew to Sin City for a real Riot of a time!

Indeed!

I love this series and have listened to the first three books a few times now. I love the creativity of the series. It has comedic moments but isn’t cliche. A great balance overall.

And Travis Baldree is (as always) fantastic.

One of my new favorites

I pretty much devoured the first three in this series. Like the story and am definitely invested in the characters. The story has also take a few twists and turns i did not expect, in a good way. Very excited for the next one.

Not a literary master piece but enjoyable just the same. Worth a credit in my opinion.

Fun book

I can't say anymore good things that any other reviewer hasn't already written about this book, but once again the editing still seriously needs to improve so overall I can only give it a 4 since half points (4.5) are not an option

There were a lot of things that improved from books 1 and 2 in this book, however to totally miss in the same scene that one person sits down twice Without standing up first the first time and another standing up twice without sitting down after the first mention that they "leaped up" is not acceptable to me.

Is this a small thing, yes. Should it happen in a published work such as this no and shows the poor attempt that someone is actually doing their job properly of proof reading the book to locate errors such as this.

Why does this bother me so much you may ask, it has to do with the fact it's distracting in a book to so openly read an obvious error that you can't help but to ask how many other things can I spot. That is when other little things start to jump out at you, such as the obsession the author has with making people tilt their heads from side to side or to one side and "put their hands out" over and over through out the series. It's the author's apparent fall back actions to describe what someone is doing physically most likely when they can't think of anything else instead. In book 2 alone tilting of heads happened so often I lost track after 8 times, which was really hard to do since once you notice it, it's hard to not notice it, which as I stated earlier is very distracting. This may not be an issue for some, but for me it's a pet peeve when an author greatly over uses a word, phrase or action through out a book or series. It's similar to how some get upset having to listen to a stat page more times than necessary.

this book was great. loved how it started and worked it's way backwards. the progress of the characters were great. really starting to love hawk and hope my suspicions about him are corrects. the pace of the story was great. Just wished for new spells and gathering of the rings!! lol . the narrating was on point as always. Travis is a great narrator

Best in the series yet.

The Author has done a great job of creating intriguing storylines that continue to evolve, along with multiple characters on their arcs. With this being the 3rd, you might think you know how the final confrontation will shake out; but in fact it unfolds like a unique piece of Origami; you would never see it coming!

Series continues to “Level-Up”

I think there was a continuity error or two but pretty stellar addition overall. Seemed like he took a break with writing this and picked it up again or something idno. Definitely getting the next one.

Pretty darn good.
