Sadie Jennings was used to being protected. We met Sadie and Jackson in previous books but I’m glad they got their own story. I like the way they evolved and the connection that’s grown between them is undeniable.

Jonathan has been an issue since he escaped. I was waiting to see where and when he showed up and I have to say, I’m not disappointed with how this all played out.

The level of chaos (lol) isn’t as high in this story but the level of crazy is there. I really enjoyed this story.

🔹This book takes off like jet fuel! I was MESMERIZED by both Sadie and Chase!
The beginning was hard to swallow - Very Dark!! Reminded me of the "Warren Jeff's" Fundamentalist Polygamist - Pedophile story! UHH! Serious stuff!
The action is electrifying and made me look over my shoulder at the grocery store!!! AHHH!

🔹Although Chase is very forward, his character is likable and I was rooting for both lead characters! Chase is a Gentleman, old fashion and a romantic! Chase is a CHAMPION!!!YESSSS!!!!!

🔹Sadie is a strong female ~ tenacious, graceful, strong mentally and physically and a fearless WARRIORESS!!! BRAVA!!!

🔹The overall FLOW to this book is ...upbeat, provocative, gripping and hair-raising!!! My only complaint was that it was too short! I was praying for a few more thrilling & steamy chapters! Overall I adored this book!

This is a crossover story with 'Masters & Mercenaries' series and with Susan Stokers Badge of Courage series book 'Justice For Milena'. I high recommend reading Milenas story first as it is more of a prequel and Sadie is a main character. I tried listening without first hearing Milena and was just confused. This story continues Sadie's story where that one left off.

Though this story is shorter than Susan's typical story it still contains a wallop. We first see Chase in Rescuing Rayne. He is Rayne's brother. That is just another reason I like series, one big family. He shows himself to be as Alpha protective as the others even then. This story and Chase as also has a tie in with 'Rescuing Bryn'. I was amazed & delighted when that came out. There are a lot of tidbits of other story in this one.

This story is a standalone one but I felt I missed background information on some of the characters. Not bad enough , just felt like it would have had more story depth if I had read previous books first so I would have know more about the other characters. This is a good story. It has strong alpha males who are determined to take care of their loved ones. It has really strong females who are as equally determined to ensure the safety of their men and loved ones. All in all, it’s filled with drama, love and an HEA. Narration was superb. It truly enhanced the story and made me continue to listen after my body kept telling me to sleep. I enjoyed this one and will probably listen to some of the other stories.

For what it was it was good. just really super short and quick because most of the action for these two happened in other books

This novella book is a continuation of Susan Stokers Justice for Milena. That story has 2 parts. That one follwed up by this one.
In this story, we see Sadie and Chase trying to find Jonothan (the baddies son from JFM). HE is still obsessed with Sadie...but why?
How do you stop someone with so much hate and sickness inside? You call in the Delta Force team and the Taggerts (who just happen to be, i found out, top of the line assassins). So...with this much fire power behind her, why would Jonothan be so obsessed with her? The reason is GREAT!!!
There is even a moment when Chase and Dane "Fish" Monroe know each other. They are both shocked to find out they Do in fact know each other! That is a GREAT part too.
The ending is..just WOW!! that's all I can say...W O W ! ! ! ! ! You do NOT see it coming, and how SUsan Stoker writes it will just blow you away!!

What a dranatic listen!!

Holy hotness this book was absolutely fantastic and will have you hooked from the beginning until the end and Stella Blum does a fantastic job as narrator.
