Acerca de esta escucha

The world did not end in a single night. It rotted from within.

The infection spread like wildfire, consuming cities, collapsing governments, and bringing entire nations to their knees. The powerful fled. The desperate fought. The doomed prayed. But the undead were relentless, devouring everything in their path.

From the fall of New York City to the last stand in London. From the Pope’s final sermon in the Vatican to billionaires seeking refuge in Switzerland’s most fortified bunkers. This is the story of how civilization crumbled, one country at a time.

A brutal, unflinching account of global collapse, Rotting Earth takes you deep into the chaos, where soldiers fought hopeless battles, world leaders made impossible choices, and ordinary people faced horrors beyond imagination.

The dead did not rest.

And there was no one left to stop them.

I loved the world building and descriptions of other locations. Most zombie books don't include enough detail for my liking. This was different and exciting!

Instead of following a single group of survivors, this book takes a global, almost god’s-eye perspective, chronicling the collapse of cities and nations as the infection spreads. While it doesn't focus on deep character development or personal arcs, it more than makes up for it with intensely visceral descriptions and a chillingly realistic dismantling of the “zombie survival plan” trope. This isn’t about heroics—it’s about inevitability. Grim, detailed, and compelling, it makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about surviving the end of the world.

A refreshingly different take on the zombie apocal

This book goes beyond and narrates the events extremely apocalyptic. What is unusual is that there is not a single character, but the storyline, which is non-linear, narrates events rather than characters. I found this book well written, very witty, honestly. Now, it is very graphic, so if you are not into explicit violence, then I don't recommend this.

This global zombie outbreak book was read from the edge of my seat as each nation reacts differently to this global event. It was written from the point that each chapter is written from the first day of the zombie outbreak but from a different countries point of view. It was well written and enjoyed the different strategies as well as consequences that each nation faced.

Highly enjoyable for zombie apocalypse fans. It’s descriptive and graphic, giving you an upfront experience of the crisis. I also like how it doesn’t show how the events impact those from around the globe, and how categoraphic something this would be. If you’re a fan of World War Z, you will enjoy this.

Grim and global. This audiobook has basically no heroes. Just pure chaos and collapse. It reminded me of World War Z, but meaner. Totally worth a listen.

Mean and raw. I loved it.

This is zombie book...uncertanity, chaos, man-eating monnsters and the fall of society. The writing’s alright, but I found myself wishing for more personal connection. Somebody to root for or connect with. Still, it’s a unique angle in a crowded genre. If there’s a sequel with more focus on survivors, I’d check it out.

I decided to pick this one up because of it's terrific cover. And wow, I had fun with this audiobook! I really ended up enjoying it for the whole 7 hours. So based on that alone, I'd recommend to anyone who likes apocalyptic type scenarios!
