Acerca de esta escucha

They’re right, I am ruthless—when it comes to everyone but her... To the outside world, I’m a cold-hearted, ruthless thug who rides in a biker gang. To my brothers in my MC club, I’m the man they show respect to—their president. To my friends, I’m simply King, a man who will go out of his way to help you, but who you do not want to mess with. Then Elena shows up at my clubhouse, tired, afraid, and broken and I know with just one glance that my life is about to change. I’ll fight to the death to protect her and in doing so become the ruthless monster they believe me to be. After the dust has settled, she’s mine, even if her every instinct screams at her to run in the opposite direction. Contemporario Suspenso Romántico Sincero Transporte

I did enjoy the story, I won't say I didn't, but there are some issues.
First off, the wording is... strange in places. Some of the language reads very formally, which is most often seen when non-native English speakers write, but it makes it sound odd. While the story itself makes sense, it just throws things off a bit.
The AI voice is one of the better ones. It's one of the ones that sounds more human, a black lady with a lovely voice, with lifts and falls that you see more with a human reader. The issue with this voice in particular is it's habit of mispronunciation. It also lacks the ability to stress words that need stressed in a sentence, which most of them do, but it seems more annoying with this voice because it sounds so much more like a person than most of them.
The female lead also has some annoying qualities, particularly ignoring the fact the man served in the military during wartime and served in warzones. I don't know anyone who's ever seen someone go off to the military and see them come back and still think they are that kid that left, yet she seems to be unable to recall that part most of the time. She acts like he's still a 17-year-old boy, and can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I get the not wanting others to get hurt on your behalf, but the man is the head of an MC, with a whole lot of other guys, many of which who also served. These aren't sailors or computer guys - these are the ones who fought on the ground in active conflict zones. These aren't sailors or computer guys (not that they don't deserve respect) - these are guys who fought in the midst of serious danger and watched a lot of their friends being shipped home in boxes. She should be giving them more respect than acting like they're a bunch of weak dumbasses.

Not disappointed, just... not impressed
