Because I have heard this narrator before, I chose this title on the strength of her narration. I was not disappointed! Heather Masters has one of those lovely, ageless, melodic voices that can captivate you for hours and almost certainly will. I never listen to a book at normal speed. But in this case, it seemed like the right thing to do, at least for much of the book. You simply want to immerse yourself in the quality of the narration and the excellence of the diction.

The plot is relatively fun and light. You have the cliché of the jilted bride as the book opens, and the instant love between the now-single woman and a dashing hotel owner in Hawaii. And while none of these characters would represent complex case studies of human nature, they are at least fun to read and easy to like. On balance, this is a title worth spending the money for.
