When the past forms the future, how does a woman with few memories survive?

The narrator's overuse of whispering, Dewdrop's voice and Tate's angry voice were aggravating to the point of cringy.

I also grew tired of Tate being so reactive, so willing to preserve villains for the sake of plot and unable to connect the dots with just the slightest bit of extrapolation.

Still enjoying the story though, so there's that.

Honestly, this series made me become such a huge fan of TA White in general. I love the world and characters she built - there’s so much character growth and development, so much of a slow burn for both romance and piecing together how all the puzzle pieces interlock, but it still manages to be such a fast-paced, wild ride.

I look forward to all of T.A. White’s books, she is an automatic download for me. She has a way that makes me like the characters, a plot and keeps the story fresh and I’m never bored. All of her series are adventurous with a smidge of romance, a bit of mystery, and just plain fun. I loved the part when Illith steals all the jewels from the emperor, I had a gigantic grin on my face as it was such a fun part of the book. Tate and Rio’s relationship starts to expand and grow, which I was looking forward to. Love the narrator, only I don’t like Night’s voice (my only complaint.).

If you enjoy this series, I recommend reading Ilona Andrews series, any would do as they are all great. Also, the other series by this author are equally as good.

It has been quite a journey and the mystery continues also! To have the truths to come out but not the way you think brings just another layer of mystery and intrigue to this series. Plus it makes you want to start all over just to put the pieces together sooner. Excellent writing and narration to all her books on audible. Thank you! And I also want to thank the author for making it easy to miss a book but explain it so well in the continued development of the story. It helps out anyone who might miss one or two. Thank you
