Sweet, predictable storylines. I liked how each sister's story built on the previous stories. I might recommend these as paper reads, but definitely not as an audible! The robo-voice removed any sentiment from the stories and was distracting. Hearing it robotically explain she was a sewer (as in waste removal vs a seamstress) is just one example. AI has some merit, however reading an audible is not one!

I loved these stories. You will too. Problem? …. They are narrated by an artificial narrator. Every character has the same voice and the emotion for each character was minimal. This artificial narration did not do this production justice. That being said I still loved these stories and I recommend them.

This is my first box set, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I enjoyed it. The author did an excellent job of illustrating realistic family dynamics among the sisters, complete with love, some insecurity and a little cattiness. The novellas had just the right amount of action, and although there was some clean romance, the focus was on watching the couples develop their affections. I would totally listen again if the book was republished with a talented human narrator. Otherwise, the flat virtual voice is bearable because the stories are quite engaging.

I managed to finish the first 2 books in the series, but couldn't go on past that. The stories were OK, but I couldn't get past the narration. Sometimes there was no inflection, sometimes there was too much, and sometimes it was just the wrong tone for what was being said. It drove me crazy!
