New York Times bestselling authors Andrews & Wilson bring listeners another heart-stopping thriller in Sons of Valor IV: False Flag.

A murder in the Royal House of Saud, a secret alliance between two powerful rivals, and a race to upend the balance of power in the Middle East....

Lieutenant Keith “Chunk” Redman is no stranger to uncertainty. It’s what they train for in the Tier One. But when President Kelso Jarvis tells Gold Squadron the shocking news—that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has been murdered, the King is missing, and the House of Saud has framed two Mossad agents—it’s clear the Middle East has become a powder keg just waiting to explode.

To get to the bottom of it, Gold Squadron must split up: Chunk leading a team of Israeli operatives; sniper Saw taking the helm of Gold; while intel analyst Whitney Watts heads into the belly of the beast itself, the Royal Palace in Saudi Arabia, where she must risk her life to uncover the truth about the Crown Prince’s murder.

Meanwhile, unseen by any of them, new alliances are forming orchestrated by a VEVAK operative who spent decades working in deep cover to unsettle the balance of power. Soon it’s a race against time to find the truth, and stop a false flag operation that threatens the very existence of Israel itself.

I am never disappointed in the work of these authors, this book is no exception. Like all the other books, these authors grab your attention and hold it until the very last moment. This book took an unexpected turn and made me feel an unexpected set of emotions not typical to this type of book. Over the years and books we have come to know and love these characters. I almost feel sad when I finish a book and want to start it again.

incredible as always

These two authors are amazing. This was a great book with an amazing story. Ray Porter, as usual, was great. Whether it’s Ember, Sons of Valor or the Shepherds, these guys are great…looking forward to the next book in all three series. Maybe a Dempsey cameo in the next book???

Phenomenal audiobook

I don’t write many reviews, but these authors truly know how to bring characters to life. I felt like I was right there with the love and happiness of the families and the sadness and pride in their loss. Please keep writing both Valor & Tier One. You are 2 of my favorite authors. I have read both series multiple times. They are that good. Thank you.

One of the best series I have listened to. You become invested in the characters. Well written and read.

Good story

This one wrecked me. I haven't cried this much over the loss of a beloved character since Fred in "The Deathly Hallows". Overall loved this book. Ray Porter is always a win for me! I always wait in anticipation for the next A&W installment! Now I have to suck it up till November to catch up with John Dempsey and the Ember team. 🫶

Very emotional.

Just amazing story and storytelling. I love this series and the associated Tier One series. It was fun to have a little crossover in this book, even if it was mostly just mentioning some names. The character development, particularly in Whitney and Chunk, was really impactful. Another great installment in the Sons of Valor series!

So good

Sons of Valor IV by Brian Andrews and Wilson is an outstanding novel, staying true to their intense, signature style of military thrillers. The story builds on the series with sharp tactics and deep characters. Fans will love how it keeps the same gripping rhythm as past books, making it a solid addition.
The action, adventure, and thrills hit hard from beginning to end, never slowing down. From intense battles to heartpounding chases, the pace keeps you glued to every page. Each chapter delivers a rush that doesn’t quit.
The dramatic pauses add suspense, making the emotional moments stand out amid the action. The plot, set in today’s world, feels real and believable. Andrews and Wilson craft a story that could easily fit into current events.
Their research into military operations, technology, and global politics makes the book feel authentic. This hard work creates a story that’s both exciting and realistic, honoring our troops, country, faith, and family with pride.

I hope one day we get to see a screen adaptation

I know the authors are writing multiple series at once, and this is a bit of a nitpick, but basic character consistency should be maintained and updated throughout the series. Watts went to GW, not Georgetown (Book 1). Chunk had recently crashed, for the second time, in a Russian helicopter (Book 2?) and it was an important plot point. This book completely ignored the second crash.
Edited after I finished the audiobook: I was looking forward to a continuation of the characters, but this felt like the first three books, in terms of character development, never happened; as if this was a different cast of characters and the antagonists were the stars. The different references to fathers completely missed the fact that Spence must be a new father by this book. Also, nothing about the "drinks with Bowman" Chunk must have already had. Both would have led to character growth. And, while I'm a fan of Chunk and Watts, the ending was absolutely not where the first three books led. There's no way the last minute or two of the book would have happened in front of Bowman, regardless of how upset Chunk was. About an hour in, I began to wonder about ChatGPT's role in this one. There were multiple times when the same phrasing was used twice in one paragraph, a basic writing no-no. Perhaps they had a crappy editor. I'm still a fan, but was disappointed.

Keep your notes from book to book

Waited anxiously for this offering. Pre-ordered and started immediately. Tier one was perfection all the way thru. Valor started strong, however this one wasn't perfect. But still a solid read and worth your listening hours.
Loved Whitney having an expanded story line, but wanted more of Chunk. And wanted less of the silly romance teasers.
Loved the story melding into global politics in July 2025, with all the current war in the middle east. (wait, no free airplane for Kelso!).
Killing off a team member felt at once predictable and unnecessary...I read the opening scene at the race track and wondered who it was going to be.
And, I hope we meet the Princess Ambassador again.

Ray Porter is a rock star; perfection
