Even though it isn't his norm, it was good book and I enjoyed listening to it.

Really enjoyed the story line

Nothing like any other James Patterson I’ve read. I’m not up on the monster theme nor the terminology. Difficult to get into.

Not too excited -

Slow start. Ridiculous finish. Many unanswered questions. The first half of the book dragged. The main character, a medieval princess who somehow had developed the ideas of a modern liberal, seemed out of place. Despite her feminist ideals and training in swordplay and knife fighting, she nevertheless repeatedly fell back into the damsel in distress trope. Things picked up later, when wierd and woderful things started happening, most of which were never adequately explained, nor explained at all, for that matter. I confess they did manage to surprise me with the ending, which I thought I had figured out. But I was expecting some semblance of a logical conclusion to tie up the loose ends. Instead they threw all logic to the wind, producing a deus ex machina ending that left all the loose threads dangling.

James Patterson never let's me down! I love the mix of fantasy and medieval style. Nothing but the best from this man, hoping for a series from this story!

Patterson does it again. This was so well written it almost seemed like it was real. It be really cool if they decided to continue the character

James Paterson tried fantasy of mythology. Gemma Dawson is an outstanding narrator. The story was different.

This book was a major let down. I was expecting something awesomely amazing. It was an amazingly disappointing disaster.

No as good as expected

I am not a lover of fantasy books it took me three times to get through the Hobbit but I finally did. As to this book I started it then put it down and I tried again about one month later and finished it. Come on James stick to Alex Criss and the Women's murder club not this for you. I think your fans will be disappointed as I was. Big disappointment sorry.

Not one of James's best , fantasy is not your genre.

Did not finish. Kept waiting for good to triumph, and perhaps it will by the end, but in between is too much evil grief, the kind that just leaves you sick in your stomach. I love the narrator, gave this book a try for her coming from Beautiful
