This is a match made...in a bar! Shelby is a stereotypical accountant...prim, proper and always following the rules. For instance, even though there is no sizzle in her relationship with her sort-of boyfriend, Alan, she intends on moving on with the relationship because it 'makes sense'. Alan is a professor who works in academia with both of her parents and, on paper, will be a good provider and father. Shelby can never be attracted to a high school dropout who has his own radio show...a very raunchy radio show. But that's exactly what happens when she runs into Nolan at The Fix on Sixth, where she is attending a bachelorette party. The attraction is mutual but Nolan has a messy divorce in his past that has him swearing off relationships and focusing on his radio career...and it is a pretty good career...most people in Austin listen to his morning show 'Mornings with Wood'. Shelby and Nolan start a brief fling...while she's still sort of dating Alan...that part I did not really care for, but that's my personal feeling on cheating. Shelby cannot deny the smoking hot chemistry between her and Nolan but he just doesn't fill any of the boxes on her 'relationship list'...besides, her parents would be scandalized. Will this pair defy the odds? Of course, Nolan ends up as one of the contestants on the Man of the Month gig at The Fix...will he be the next winner...in the contest and with Shelby?

This 12 book series covers 12 male calendar models. The calendar was created as a source of marketing revenue for The Fix on Sixth bar. Shelby is at TFo6 for a bachelorette party when she sees Nolan. Shelby is a buttoned up CPA who never lets her hair down. She's dating Allen and dreams of becoming a partner at the financial management company she's employed by. Nolan Wood is the host of the morning radio show Mornings with Wood. He's been divorced for a long time and not looking for more than one night when he meets Shelby. His marriage ended when his wife realized he didn't aspire to great wealth. He's struggled is entire life with dyslexia and the fact that his biological father looked down on anyone that wasn't perfect. He was a high school drop out with low self-esteem and when he meets Shelby he's quite popular for his racy morning show. She eventually breaks up with Allen at dinner with him on their 4 month dating anniversary as he was giving her a promise ring. She and Nolan heat up quickly until she's interviewed for a podcast and casts her relationship with Nolan as a friendship then she realizes he's kept his learning disability to himself. They eventually heal things and are HFN.

Epilogue: Tyree is introduced as the next main character. JP
