I truly enjoyed this book. this book is the closest thing to an instruction manual for how to grow your new child so that your end results are a happy self-sufficient productive member of the family along with society.

the word that keeps popping into mind is fluff. It was a good reminder It bully parents raise bully children and spoiling and enabling well leads to spoiled brats. You know good advice about taking a breath and counting to 10 and giving yourself a time out when you're upset with the kids and talking to them about their feelings. I would say this is more of like maybe like intro to stop yelling 101. if it's your first parenting book it's a good jumping off point.

It's a good book overall. Quick, concise, to the point. The author doesn't waste time yammering on and I liked that.

I actually cried a few times out of nowhere.... I needed to hear all of this. I had a horrible childhood and listening to this showed me everything that went wrong and how to stop the cycle. A great read
