This was the single most intense and all consuming second chance romance read ever!!!!

An unputdownable read that you will just hate when it's over, but will definitely not feel unfulfilled.

The emotions were so consuming that you will feel them as if they were your own.

This book definitely has its ups and downs. First, the timeline is totally confusing, in the first third of the book. It starts out in the future, flashes to the past, then present and then past again. The trouble is that the author doesn’t make these time jumps clear to the listener. I finally figured what was what, towards the end of the book when the future scene, at the beginning of the book, repeats.
This book is also pretty predictable and has the type of angst that I totally hate. ( when the lack of simple verbal communication could avoid most of the conflict.
Overall, I was fairly entertained, however, I’m glad I didn’t have to use my monthly credit, to listened it, though. I was able

it almost brought me to my knees. it has a Cake ( the book) feel to it.

Like the title, that's what this story does to you. Its strips you bare and about tears your heart out from beginning to end. I thought the first book in this duet did me in but the second book tops that for sure. So much pain, heartbreak, and inner struggle. These two are battling their emotions because of the way they have lived their lives. The sacrifices that have been made and the challenges they have endured. Its truly almost too much. It's written in a way that makes you grasp every emotion. And it has phenomenal steam between these two. I mean really panty melting stuff here. Amazing narration! Just listen because you won't regret a second of it!

I love this story. It’s better to listen book 1 before listening to this one. The narrator was superb. I highly recommend!

I found this audiobook story to be more than I expected, in a good way! Yes, the hero is a male stripper, but the backstory of the hero and heroine and the missing 5 years make this story so much more interesting. The characters are both strong ones, the story ha substance ad emotion and the ending is a happy one. What e poor hero has been through and has to go through once again is appalling, and I don’t know if I could do that for a family member! Narration was good, but I would have loved from the book to have both male and female narrators.

This duet was really good, it would be better if they made it duet narration. The female narrator did do a good job narrating both female and male. I just think that an extra emote from J Morgan like the first audible would have made this great.
The story itself was very good and well written. I laugh and cried. This author just wrecks me in all her story. Well done!!!

I really thought I knew what to expect with this book but this one was different, it didn't have the OMG twist I've grown to expect from this author. I stayed up all night finishing this audiobook. The characters were very honest and emotional and their story was beautiful and sweet with some tragic circumstances to boot. The connection between them was so palpable and the sex was extremely hot. I really enjoyed this book and have leaned that this author doesn't have a specific "type" of story which I love and can't wait for more of her audiobooks in the future. I always love a book that I didn't see coming.

Brooke Bloomingdale does a great job narrating this book alone. I may have even liked her Ryan voice more than her Alana voice and when a narrator can voice a character of the opposite sex this good you know she is talented!

First audible book I listened to. I watch floribama shore and saw this book promoted. Thought I would give it a try. Even thought it took me about a month to complete, I have to say, it most definitely kept my interest. Amazing author as I felt like I could see every “scene” that was described. I felt like I was their and like anybody know, an amazing author makes it seem as so.
Like any romance novel must have its ups and downs , this one had plenty; that is for sure! I have recommended this book to my family and friends. Can’t say I wasn’t imagining it was the writer and I during the whole reading.....
