Lewton Paterson is a gambling man hoping to put his rough-and-tumble past behind him and marry into a quiet, respectable family. Arriving in Whispering Mountain, Lewt sets his sights on one of the McMurray sisters. But it doesn’t take long for Lewt to realize that gambling on love is his riskiest proposition yet.

Lewton soon finds out that the three women are just what he is looking for, but they are not liking for anyone like him. So he ends up spending his time working the ranch, the hardest work he has ever done; but he likes the work. In the end Lewton and a ranch-hand Em have to go to the border to try to save Duncan's life.
This is a great story that Jodi Thomas had written, it lives up to the rest of the stories in this series. Linda Stephens does a good job with the narration.

What did you like best about Texas Blue? What did you like least?
I enjoyed the continuation of the Whispering Mountain series. It would have been nice to include more of the characters from previous books. I found that narration extremely lacking and dramatic pauses way passed annoying. I won't listen to this narrator again. I'm disappointed that the same narrator did most of Jodi Thomas' books. How could the performance have been better?
Speed up the narration and cut the dramatic pauses completely. It was often dead slow and difficult to listen to.Won't listen to this narrator again.
