Young Anna Bishop’s life is turned upside down by a series of traumatic events. Her search for the almighty father sets Anna Bishop on a spiritual journey that forces her to come to terms with the truth and fight for a life worth living.

Diane Wagner has a voice! One notices it with the first sentence. She’s strong and righteous and opinionated. It took me a minute to accept her main character, who we meet as a little girl, hating on a first grader, as she trudges up a snowy hill toward her home - which happens tonight include the numbers 666 in the street address - if anyone ever told you, you think too much or you feel too much, eventually you’re gonna fall in love with this character. And the thing she learns are going to be your lessons too.
