Torn between old beliefs and decades of peace, Ember is reluctant to choose a side. The herd needs no reason for further division, but doubt chews at his mind. What if dismissing this warning is a grave error? Failing the herd would put his captaincy and, worse, his ego at risk.
The situation turns dire when his treasured home is attacked, and Ember is nearly killed.
