This is part 2 of Jasper and Poppy's story. it picks up 10 months after The Deputy. you learn more about Jasper's back story. The two developer their relationship. this story lacks the excitement and humor of the first book. you do need to read the first book to understand this one. it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Honestly, I liked the first book. I like this book, but I came away feeling like nothing really happened and you can skip this book altogether. The narrator was good, but as a male narrator I was dissatisfied with the voice he uses for the male lead.

Book 2 in the Gracie Island series and picks up ten months later! It's Poppie and Jasper's time to figure things out. Yes, Poppie is stubborn, and knows exactly what she wants. Full speed ahead, time to get things moving. But Jasper is a little on edge, just not quite sure. Will these two find a way to come together and realize just how strong their love really is? Leigh Fenty is shining through with this fabulous series and I can't wait for the next in the series. John Walker continues his narration and keeps the character voices consistent and packed with all the feels. This is a great listen!
