The Biggest Fish Ever Caught: A Story to Read and Illustrate was written years ago by the late Rick Pellika. His wife, Norann Kaupanger Lafon, MA, a Reading Decoding Specialist and author of two books—Not Before Fourth Grade and Reading Week Seminar—had her best friend of 64 years (Cleone Reed) format the book and publish it for her.
The book has been designed to encourage the reader to not only read the story but to visualize and illustrate the story. Boxes are provided for the reader to draw each scene as to how they see the story unfolding. There are suggestions for the parents, grandparents, and friends to say to the children as they read the book.
This book exemplifies a saying by Benjamin Franklin (which is in the Preface) that says: "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Relaciones
