This is an addictive read/listen about Cody and Hailey. Their parents were briefly married which ended badly. This makes them unrelated step siblings. There was always an attraction between them but neither was willing to go there. Hailey, has lost her father, and has been trying to get a painting, that was her mother's, back from Cody's mom. Feeling out of options she confronts Cody at a function about getting his help. Of course, Cody takes this as an opportunity to get what he wants, Hailey. This is a sweet story with some steamy bits and a vindictive women. I like how the relationship grows and matures between Cody and Hailey. Cody's sister is great and makes both Hailey and Cody see the truth. The narration is pretty good. My only complaint about the narration is the male making Cody sound pompous. That is not really how he character came across, especially in the end.

Cody’s mother is the evil step mom that won’t return a painting that belonged to Hailey’s mom..She is manipulative, controlling and vindictive.
Cody wants to change his playboy image and promised Hailey he would get her painting if she pretends to be his girlfriend.
But his busybody mom has other ideas for him.
This story has it all.
Drama, passion, lies and happiness.
The narrators did a great job in performing this story

This is the 2nd that I have read by Ashley Sands and will be reading more of her books. This is a fast paced easy quick read, page turner, steamy and family drama read. Hailey’s dad was married to Cody’s mother making her Hailey’s stepmother. Hailey’s dad died of a heart attack before he was able to get a divorce from his wife. Hailey wants a painting of mom that was she is unable to get from her stepmother. Hailey goes to her step brother Cody for help and he agrees to help but he wants something in return from her. Cody has always had feelings for Hailey. Cody wants Hailey to accompany him on several dates and be his pretend girlfriend.

Will Hailey agree to what Cody has asked of her, can and will Cody and Hailey’s fake relationship be the real thing, will Cody be able to get the painting for Hailey?

This is book 1 of The Possessive Billionaire and a standalone story. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. The book caught my attention because it was easy to picture the characters and their interaction. Happy ending included.

This was a beautifully heartfelt love story about overcoming obstacles. Cody and Hailey were destined for each other, and despite the challenges and those who tried to stand in their way, their love triumphed. Their journey to a well-earned happily ever after was wonderfully written, making every moment feel special. Even with the interference of a difficult stepmother, their bond remained unbreakable, proving that true love always finds a way.

It took me a little time to adjust to the narration, but I always appreciate dual narration, and both voices added depth to the story. This was my first read/listen by this author, and I’m excited to explore more!

I loved Cody and Hailey’s story .. it was fast paced with a slow burn, good drama and kept you engaged right til the end... the dual narration worked really well.. I cannot wait to read the rest of series..

The Billionaire's Prize is an enjoyable listen—entertaining with a side of sweet and spicy. I'm not generally a fan of one of the main tropes used (step-sibling love interest), but the author made it work. Ashley Sands did a great job with Hailey and Cody's character development. Listening to their personal and romantic journeys was delightful in an easy-breezy way. Yes, the tension was there between them throughout, but the spice level wasn't overwhelming—nothing out of the ordinary for the genre.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy millionaire/billionaire romance reads OR to those looking for a Cinderella reenvisioning. I'm not sure if the author intentionally did that, but it struck me as a modern Cinderella adaptation.
