I have a job that requires 100% of hand availability and not much concentration. I found The David Wolf Mystery Thriller Series: Books 1-4, to be entertaining and interesting. I like and understand the characters and there is always a tricky turn or two in the story. I will look for more from Jeff Carson.

Overall i enjoyed the series. There were a few scenes when he describes what the women is wearing that made me feel like i didn't want to listen to a romance novel. That and the cussing and the sex tape crime could have been removed to make the book one you could listen to anywhere and around any one.
Many parts had me listening closely, on the edge of the seat. Some parts made me feel like I lost track of the characters. There were parts in the story that just didn't make scense, like leaving his young boy in the care of his coworkers for days after the boy had almost lost his life and knowing the criminal would be out to get him is an example. The story gives a why, but realistically, there is no way a parent would do that the way it was done. A few loose ends. Although i didn't want a romance novel, it would have been nice to have closure where the relationships are concerned. Everyone is single at the end even though there was potential for a couple or two or three to live happily ever after. The book kept me company for months on short drives. Now that I have finished it, I'm going to miss it.

I'm 4 books into this series now and I can't quit...thank goodness Jeff Carson is up to book 16!

I'm doing this series on Audible and so happy...Sean Patrick Hopkins brings these characters to life so vividly.

Off to see what happens next to Sheriff David Wolf.

My first time reading a Jeff Carson book.It held my attention. If you have any love for the mountains of Colorado, you will find yourself feeling as though you are right there! Enjoy!
